Tour Enchanted City

Tour Enchanted City is the best way to discover one of the most famous Karst sites in Spain, the Enchanted City.

We will pick you up with our comfortable eco-friendly car at the Ave Train Station or your Hotel.

As soon as we leave  Cuenca behind us, begins our adventure to the Enchanted City. First of all, we drive through the spectacular Júcar River Gorge in direction of the Devil´s Window. Here we make our first stop. Despite its name,  this natural window is one of the most beautiful spots in Cuenca province. It is a stunning viewpoint over the Jucar River Canyon. So if you want to make amazing photos from the breathtaking views, this is your place.

After this spectacular view we approach the Lake of the village of Uña. Depending on the weather conditions and the season it´s possible to spot birds. So if you like to whatch birds, this can be a good site to observe the amazing flight of the griffon vultures. In the surroundings of the Uña lake there are all types of rock and aquatic birds to watch. Binoculars are available for spotting the birds in their natural habitat (mainly wintering birds).

Afterwards we drive to the Enchanted City. It is not a City we are going to visit here, but the amazing enchanted forms of the limestone rocks. The striking rock formations of this landscape are caused by the Karst Erosion. Sometimes these forms look like buildings, that´s the reason why this area is called “Enchanted City”.

We make a circular walking tour which takes about 90 minutes. The itinerary runs through a wood of magnificent speciments of black pines. Geology, flora, fauna and, above all, some imagination to discover the enchanted forms hidden behind the rocks.
